Wow, glad to hear thru all of it you came out safe.
I was at bike week also, but I live an hour away, so I
rode A1A, slower, more scenic, et cetera.
I generally stay away from the 70 mph allowed highways,
too many going 90. If you and your significant
other do it next year (bike week), book a hotel
in Ormond Beach or St. Augustine, you can ride
scenic and have a lot better time.
And I had a few hairy moments too, mostly not with
cars, they were respectful, it was the sport bikers,
riding way too hard for the area...
